film review – captain america: civil war

“… he’s my friend Tony.” “So was I….”

Ahhhhhh so much fighting – why can’t everyone just be friends?! Well there’s a lot of shit going down after the massive incident in Sokovia (cheers Ultron) check out my review below.

In Captain America – Civil War we find our heroes battling Hyrda and naughty young men in Lagos – where Cap’s team is now a fully fledge “powered people” ensemble. Without giving too much away, bad things happen, Spider-Man/Ant Man/Black Panther turn up, there’s a lot of arguing, more bad things happen and then there’s a big “three way” fight somewhere in Moscow…

Synopsis: “Political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability when the actions of the Avengers lead to collateral damage. The new status quo deeply divides members of the team. Captain America (Chris Evans) believes superheroes should remain free to defend humanity without government interference. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) sharply disagrees and supports oversight. As the debate escalates into an all-out feud, Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) must pick a side.”

Verdict 4.5/5: I was a BIG fan of The Winter Solider but that pales in comparison – Captain America – Civil War brings everything together, laughs, drama, amazing fight scenes and a great story line. Everything you’ve wanted from a Captain America film / any marvel film, is right there making any fan boys weak at the knees.

Big shout outs to the new comers Chaswick Boseman & Tom Holland for their great parts – but the show is really stolen by Ant Man/Paul Rudd and the middle fight scene. Bravo! Captain America – Civil War is out now…
