Something a little different this week on matthewliamrice.com – a men’s grooming box review. I was lucky enough recently to be sent a Mankind Christmas Collection The GQ Edition box full of awesome grooming goodies. Take a read of what I thought below.
It’s huge. The pictures don’t do it justice. Honestly.
The box is very minimal and brown (black is obviously preferable but brown is sufficient). When you open the box you’re greeted with a message from Mankind about the collection and a free 6 month subscription to GQ magazine.
After then opening the inner flaps you’re greeted by all the products (and by all the products I mean alllllllllll the products!)
The box contains 12 grooming products:
Omorovicza Moor Cream Cleanser (150ml)
Argentum la potion infinie Anti-Age Cream (70ml)
Clinique For Men Face Scrub (100ml)
men-ü Clay (100ml)
The Refinery Eye Gel (15ml)
Lab Series Skincare For Men Pro LS All-In-One Face Treatment (100ml)
Jack Black Beard Lube Conditioning Shave (177ml)
Gentlemen’s Tonic Savile Row Razor – Faux Ivory
Marvis Classic Strong Mint Toothpaste (1 x 75ml)
Korres Men Magnesium & Wheat Proteins Anti Hair Loss Shampoo (250ml)
Anthony Exfoliating and Cleansing Bar (198g)
Rituals The Ritual of Samurai Hand Lotion (70ml)
Final Thoughts | 5 Stars
For £100 the box is great value for money (the ARgENTUM anti-age cream RRP’s at £147) – so that’s pretty great! The box is really nice too, it has been designed very well & could quite easily sit as a decorative storage box.
Although I haven’t tried all the products the ones I have tried i’m very impressed with (the Refinery Eye Gel is great times). I really like that it comes with a free 6 months subscription to GQ which makes the box even better value for money (as a gift or for yourself).
The box has now completely sold out but Mankind have just launched their waitlist for their Christmas Advent Calendar (which also looks epic) and you can sign up for the waitlist here.
