So spring has arrived (and although the weather has improved much here in the UK, at least it’s not snowing anymore), but what does that mean for the grooming routine? You might think “well nothing, I’ll just shave, moisturise, etc like normal” well you’re wrong….
Spring offers a unique period in the year, where you aren’t exposed to the harsh weather of winter, or the glorious rays of summer. With this in mind it’s important to change your grooming routine to suit the change in season – suffer from dry skin? Well this ‘office-aircon’ season is coming and only going to make it worse. It’s time to get a good day and night cream at the ready to quench your skins thurst.
Finding your hair limp and lifeless? Spring and Summer mean less wooly winter hats and more spending time in the sun, which can not only make your hair dry (and also, you can’t hide that mop chop with a beanie in 30 degrees!).
Here’s my favourite picks for the spring season:
2 | IT’S TIME FOR A TRIM
Along with the change in season, comes a change in habitual nature. It came become easy to be laid back about your appearance (especially when you’re wrapped in scarves/hats/gloves/jumpers/coats and so on), but as the seasons change, it’s time to reclaim your tidy appearance – it’s time to be less of a wolfman – the best way to do this? Find a good trimmer which is gives you the flexibility of different lengths, which can be used in the shower or out the shower, and is rechargeable. Check out my personal choice below:
3 | GOT PROTECTION?
Finally, with the change in seasons, it’s ever more important to keep your skin protected from UV rays and burning. There are a couple of ways of doing this, including wearing a light SPF 30 on a daily basis or wearing a hat whenever you’re in direct sunlight (as we all know, if you don’t protect your skin, it will age and can lead to serious health issues – and nobody wants that!) Here are my top picks:
