Okay so it’s been out a while and I meant to write this review a while ago, but you know, shit happens.
March saw the release of the live action remake of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Remember the talking clock and candle stick, a tale as old as time and wolves in the forest? Well they’re all back for a more life like version in Disney’s quest to remake it’s old classics.
Oh hey Mr. Cumberbatch, enjoying your new superhero life? Thought so.
Cumberbatch plays the lead role in the newest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film along side Chiwetel Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams and Tilda Swinton. Doctor Strange is the fourteenth film in the MCU and takes cinema-goers for a walk on the mystical side – a new side to the MCU which we haven’t yet seen …
“Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its five-year mission: to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations, to boldly go where no man has gone before.”
Out for for a third act, the rebooted Star Trek crew are back in action with Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Karl Urban and Zoe Saldana returning to their roles with Idris Elba becoming the latest big bad.
They’re back – and this time Charlize Theron has an angry sister and her name is Emily Blunt AKA The Ice Queen.
The Huntsman – Winter’s War is a follow up to 2012’s Snow White & The Huntsmanwhich starred Chris Hemsworth, Kristen Stewart & Charlize Theron. Hemsworth and Theron are back (I can’t imagine why Stewart wasn’t asked back) alongside Blunt & Chastain in a prequel / sequel mish mash of cinematography.
Ready for your 8th dosage of the Marvel X-Men Cinematic Universe? I know I am.
Following the release of (in order of release) X-Men, X-Men 2, X-Men: The Last Stand, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, X-Men: First Class, The Wolverine and X-Men: Days Of Future Past – Fox has now ignited a new character from the franchise that was originally seen in Origins, acted by Reynolds but had a slightly different fate. The rebooted version of the character is much closer to comics and much much much better. For those of you who don’t know who Deadpool is, Wade Wilson (aka Deadpool) is a little more volatile character in the X-Men universe. He is the “merc with a mouth” and goes through a life altering procedure to turn him into the fast healing, super dude we love.
